GDT	|	EUROPEAN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER

Every year GDT organizes the big "International Nature Photography Festival" with slide shows by photographers from all over the world, with photo exhibitions and seminars on latest subjects of nature photography. GDT also organizes annually the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year". as an open contest and exhibition. GDT requests for appealing, convincing and biological irrefutable nature photos in several categories under compliance with the prevailing laws. GDT wants to contribute to a better understanding of nature and support her protection. For all GDT members respect for nature is the most important rule at their photographic work.

More than 700 nature photographers have joined to form the society of German Animal Photographers-Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen e.V. / GDT) as a non profit association. About 50 sponsors of the photographic industry, publishers and agencies support the goals and the work of GDT by their sponsorship. Thirteen regional groups of GDT meet several times a year for slide shows, exchanging experiences and for personal conversations with their fellow photographers.
