Specializing
in the field of nature-photography, Juliane Margraf started touring
exhibitions in 2000 presenting the amazing and incredibly successful
STONELIGHT exhibition - fine macro-photography of gems, minerals
and precious stones by Konrad Götz. The exhibition has been
touring for more than five years attracting several hundred-thousand
visitors. With our company name TOURMALIN
we make a bow to Konrad and his radiant reflections on the inner
life of stones - and also refer to our first TOURING of an exhibition.
In
2002 we approached Frans Lanting, hailed as one of the great nature
photographers of our time, for the tour-management for his EYE to
EYE and JUNGLES exhibitions - actually, they are still "on
tour" and still going strong!
These
days we proudly present Frans Lanting's third and exciting new exhibition:
L I F E - a Journey through Time (www.lifethroughtime.com)
in two versions.
In
2003 TOURMALIN discovered Britta Jaschinski's
highly artistic exhibition WILD THINGS - an elegy on creation. Small
is so beautiful!
Then
in 2004 came the WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR exhibition- a
fascinating, famous worldwide competition, annually organized by
the Natural History Museum in London and BBC Wildlife Magazine.
|
TOURMALIN's
key objective was and is to deliver high-quality photographic exhibitions
produced by some of the best nature photographers in the world. So
we simply could not resist expanding once more to do the tour-management
for the science wonderworld of MICROSCAPES by Oliver Meckes /Nicole
Ottawa and for Bernhard Edmaier´s geology-orientated, yet artistic
views on the unspoilt areas of our planet in his EARTHSONG exhibition-
all in 2005.
Later
on the German Association of Animal Photographers/GDT asked us to
send their great and remarkable selection of winning images, the
EUROPEAN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER on tour - and in 2006 finally Ingo
Arndt joined us with his multi-faceted FEET! and his science-adventure
ANTARCTICA
Our
concept of presenting this range of high-quality indoor-exhibits
in different segments of Natural History seems to be very attractive
to a portfolio of steady clients:TOURMALIN has built up quite some
record and a good reputation for presenting highly successful indoor
exhibitions to an exclusive clientele such as Natural History Museums,
Photo-Festivals and even some Fine Art-Museums throughout Europe,
including notable Eastern locations in Russia, Hungary, Poland.
We
appreciate the cooperation and the trustworthiness that we experience
from "our" photographers and museums as well as from our
business partners in various fields. We love to work with all these
beautiful images of nature, we enjoy the diversity of the photographers'
aspects -and we try to support a growing respect for "Life
on Earth" by presenting these exhibitions to an ever growing
audience...
